South African City and Safari

On this tour stay on Cape Town's famous Waterfront and explore the City. Meet a colony of African Penguins in their natural environment at Boulders Beach, climb the imposing Table Mountain in a cable car, or if you prefer, you can hike. Take a drive to the spectacular Cape Winelands and spot lions, elephants and rhinos in an Eco Friendly Private Game Reserve in the Kruger National Park.

Day 1: Cape Town (4 nights) On arrival into Cape Town take a taxi to the Waterfront and freshen up before getting out and exploring the city. Take a walk along the V&A Waterfront and visit the nearby shops and markets where local business owners showcase their work, such as handmade clothing and art. Be sure to grab something to eat or a drink in the V&A Food Market which features food stalls with local gourmet street food.

On Day 3 pick up your hire car and head straight to Simon's Town to visit a colony of African Penguins in their natural environment at Boulders Beach. Get there early to avoid the crowds and tour buses that usually appear around lunchtime. Take the scenic route there and back along Champman's Peak, with it's absolutely stunning views of the ocean. Stop for lunch at the beautiful Whole Earth Cafe as you make your way back to Cape Town.

On Day 4 take a optional trip to Table Mountain. Believed to be around 600 million

years old, the iconic Table Mountain is one of the 'New 7 Wonders of Nature' and a must-visit for any visitors to Cape Town, stretching from Signal Hill to Cape Point. The main attraction though is the 1,086-metre high mountain itself, the top of which can be accessed by cableway or hiking.

Day 5: Cape Winelands (2 nights) Check out from your hotel and make your own way in your hire car to the to the Cape Winelands, stay in the wine producing region of Stellenbosh- around a 45 minute drive from Cape Town.

Spend the next couple of days exploring this region and tasting the local wine. The

mountain ranges around Stellenbosch provide ideal micro climates for the vines.

Day 7: Kruger National Park (4 nights)

After returning your hire car to Cape Town Airport, take a short flight to Hoedspruit where you will be met by your driver to take you to your Private Game Reserve. Enjoy the journey and start looking out for wildlife as you pass through the Kruger National Park on route to your accommodation. Enjoy your all inclusive stay at this Eco lodge, built with little impact on nature blending in with the environment. During your stay you can look forward to spotting the ‘Big Five’ (buffalo, elephant, lion,

leopard and rhino), as well as the cheetah, wild dog, giraffe, zebra and kudu. Included in your stay will be your game drives around the game reserve, and you can book onto a walking safari or night drives where you will have the chance to check out the astronomy and unveil the secrets of the African night sky in stargazing sessions.

Day 11: Johannesburg (1 night) There is no doubt you will be sad when your safari experience comes to an end. Say your goodbyes and load up your luggage returning to Hoedspruit airport where you will be flown in to Johannesburg to stay one night in an airport hotel before returning home in the morning.

Day 12: Depart from Johannesburg. The transfer from your hotel to the airport will be provided by your hotel.
